Aditya Rikhari is an Indian singer-songwriter and composer based in New Delhi, and one of the country's fastest-rising independent pop artists. He began releasing music in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, starting with cover songs. He went on to build a devoted following with original songs such as "Faasle," "Samjho Na," "Kya Karein" and "Tu Rehti Hai."
He started out as a bedroom producer, making music on his own. His songs spread through viral YouTube and social media videos, and he has since moved from independent releases into Hindi film music while keeping his indie roots.
Rikhari writes emotional, story-driven Hindi pop songs. In interviews, he has explained that a song begins for him with an emotion rather than a set structure, and that he tries to turn that feeling into a story. He has said there is no formula he can repeat, and that he tries not to overthink a song once it feels complete. He aims for a signature sound that runs through his work, even when he experiments. His later releases include the Punjabi song "Kol Aa," the Devdas-inspired "Paaro," "Humdum" and "Subha Shaam."
After releasing music independently and through his management company, CollabX Entertainment, between 2020 and 2022, Rikhari signed with IndieA Records, a label owned by Universal Music India. In 2024, he released his album Jaana.
His song "Samjho Na" was adapted as "Jaana Samjho Na" for the 2024 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, his first song in a Bollywood film. For his contribution to the soundtrack, he received a nomination at the 70th Filmfare Awards. His single "Sahiba" spent 17 weeks at number one on Spotify's Top Songs chart, tying the record for the most weeks at the top by a non-soundtrack single.
In 2025, he was a mentor on the singing talent show I-Popstar on Amazon MX Player, alongside King, Parmish Verma and Aastha Gill. He also worked with Sachin–Jigar on "Sunn Mere Yaar Ve" from Param Sundari (2025), and moved into Telugu cinema with "Tu Jahaan" for the film Dacoit. In 2026, he collaborated with Coke Studio India on "Aae Ajnabee" with Kutle Khan.
Before his music took off, Rikhari had performed only at school shows and cultural functions. His 10-city tour in 2023, with indoor and outdoor shows, went beyond what he expected. His concerts are known for crowd singalongs to songs such as "Sahiba," "Paaro," "Tu Rehti Hai" and "Kya Karein." During "Sahiba," he often asks for the lights to be turned off so the crowd can light up the venue with their phone flashlights.
Fans connect with the honesty and simplicity of Aditya Rikhari's songwriting. His heartfelt Hindi songs feel personal, and he has described them as coming straight from a feeling. That has made his concerts shared, singalong experiences for a young audience that discovered him online.
