IT IS YOU | A performance beyond language, beyond words
An Our Theatre Collective, Bangalore Production In Collaboration with Kalakshetra Manipur
Conceptualised and Written by Vivek Vijayakumaran
Created, Devised, Designed and Performed by Pangambam Tyson Meitei & Vivek Vijayakumaran
IT IS YOU invites you to explore beyond roles, rituals, and language. This 60 minute immersive experience follows a carefully crafted narrative where two figures, trained in Kalakshetra (Manipur), Koodiyattam, and contemporary movement, embark on a journey of tension and harmony. Through movement and a layered, resonant soundscape, you become the co-creator, weaving your emotions and memories into their story.
Without spoken words, the piece lives in the space between the performers’ intent and your introspection.
Reema Gowalla (TheatreRoom) writes: "An intimate soundscape of wind/percussion guides this artistic, provocative piece. Breath and body tension take center stage as two characters wrestle with balance—within and beyond. Themes of identity, collective responsibility, and our planet’s future entwines, urging immersion and introspection."
Pramiti Digra (Medium) writes: "This play’s magic lies in how it trusts the audience to complete the narrative. Without words spelling everything out, each person watching brings their own imagination, their own memories and emotions, to the experience. The story becomes a collaboration between the performers and the viewers."
Ready to meet a story that’s both guided and open? Arrive soon. IT IS YOU awaits.
